Puligny Montrachet is a village appellation in the Côte de Beaune district in Côte dOr, Burgundy. It is home to 4 Grands Crus and 19 Premiers Crus vineyard sites. This AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) consists of a 208 hectare land with rocky and slightly elevated slopes. It experiences continental, dry summers, and cold, extended winters. The mineral-rich limestone and clay soils in the vineyard sites are well-suited for growing the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines.
